Measure the difference before changing it
Choose a programme whose actual start you can identify, such as a scheduled news bulletin. Write down the time on your device, the time shown in the guide and what is currently playing. Repeat this on a second channel. A consistent one-hour difference across several channels suggests a timing setting worth checking; one incorrect listing is a different problem. Include the date, because a screenshot without a date can be misleading around midnight.
Check the clock and the regional feed
Confirm that the device date, local timezone and automatic clock settings are correct. Then check whether you selected the intended regional channel or a delayed version. Two similarly named feeds can have different schedules. Compare the guide with the schedule for that exact feed, rather than with a search result for the brand name alone. Avoid changing your whole device timezone just to make one channel appear correct in the player.
Use a player offset only when needed
Some players offer a guide time adjustment; others interpret guide times automatically. XMLTV, a common guide format, supports programme timestamps with timezone information. Adding an extra manual adjustment can therefore correct one setup but shift another twice. Record the existing value before making one small change. Refresh the guide using the documented player control, then compare the same two programmes again. Menu names and supported adjustments depend on your chosen player.
Check tomorrow as well as right now
After correcting the present listing, inspect a programme later tonight and one tomorrow. This catches mistakes involving dates rather than just hours. Keep a short note of the original setting and the successful change. If the issue returns after a seasonal clock change, report the timezone, player version, affected channel names and examples of the incorrect times. Strong 8K support can investigate the account or guide details without needing a public screenshot of your login.
