Check whether the player itself is visible
First distinguish a black video area from a completely blank television. Can you see the player menus, channel list or volume overlay? If even the device interface is missing, verify the television input and the physical display connection. If the menus appear and only the programme is black, note that distinction. It points the next check toward playback rather than the whole screen, and gives support a clearer starting point.
Use a second source as a comparison
Open a different live channel and, if available, an on-demand title. Keep the same device, player and output settings. Record whether audio continues normally and whether a loading indicator or error appears. If a different quality version of the affected programme is available, try it and note the exact label. A single failing source should be reported as such rather than treated as proof that every channel or the full account is unavailable.
Compare the local and external screen
On a phone or computer connected to another display, stop the external display session and test on the built-in screen. If playback works locally but not on the television, the casting, cable, adapter or output path deserves its own check. Compatibility depends on the app and equipment; successful playback on the phone does not guarantee every display method is supported. Follow the device and player documentation rather than trying to defeat restrictions or installing unknown patches.
Keep changes limited and reversible
Restart playback and the player before considering a documented playback-engine setting, if your application offers one. Save the existing value, change one option, and retest the same source. Revert changes that do not help. Send support the device model, player version, source name and comparison results, including whether the menus remained visible. Do not erase your account or perform a device factory reset merely because one source has no picture; gather enough evidence to choose a targeted next step.
