IPTV on iPhone or iPad: check orientation and audio output.

Check rotation, fullscreen controls, speaker output and external playback on iPhone or iPad before treating a viewing problem as an account issue.

Distinguish rotation from fullscreen playback

Turning the device sideways and selecting fullscreen are related but separate actions. Apple notes that some iPhone applications do not support rotation even when orientation lock is off. Check the device rotation setting, then use the player's fullscreen control if one is available. Test another app that supports landscape if you need to see whether rotation works generally. Avoid repeatedly rotating the device during loading; wait until the player interface is ready and make one change at a time.

Find where the sound is going

Start playback at a comfortable volume and check the active audio destination. Headphones, a speaker or a television used earlier may still be selected. Disconnect or change the destination using the device controls, then test the built-in speakers. Note whether the issue affects one programme or all sound from the device. If the picture works but audio does not, that comparison is more useful than immediately removing the IPTV account or reinstalling the application.

Test external playback separately

If you want to use AirPlay or another supported output method, first establish that the programme works on the phone or tablet. Apple documents streaming video and mirroring the whole screen as different actions. Use a compatible receiver and the official instructions, then check both picture and audio. Player support can vary, so successful local playback does not guarantee the external route. Stop the external session before checking another device and keep the subscription connection allowance in mind.

Make the mobile setup comfortable

Check subtitle size if your player offers a control, and try the playback buttons in both supported orientations. Keep the device stable so accidental touches do not change channels. Before a long viewing session, confirm whether you are on Wi-Fi or mobile data and consider your data allowance. If you need help, report the iPhone or iPad model, operating-system version, player and selected audio output. Redact notifications and private account information from screenshots that show the problem.
