Group orders by term before multiplying
A customer count alone does not tell you the required credits when terms differ. Under the Strong 8K model, multiply the number of customers in each group by its months, then add the results. Keep enquiries separate from confirmed orders. This prevents a group containing several annual accounts from being treated as if every customer needs only one month or as if every customer chose the same term.
Work through a mixed order
Consider eight one-month customers, six three-month customers, four six-month customers and three twelve-month customers. The credit requirements are 8 × 1 = 8, 6 × 3 = 18, 4 × 6 = 24 and 3 × 12 = 36. Together they require 86 credits for 21 customers. The average is about 4.10 credits per customer, but retain the original groups because the average cannot identify each account's activation term.
Compare the requirement with available inventory
Starting from zero, one 120-credit Starter pack covers this example and leaves 34 credits. Its $222 purchase cost differs from the allocated cost of the 86 credits used, which is 86 × $1.85 = $159.10. If you already hold credits, subtract that usable balance before deciding what to buy. The calculation assumes the published one-credit-per-customer-month arrangement applies to the accounts being provisioned.
Keep revenue calculations grouped as well
If the example uses the published consumer prices, revenue is eight times $9.99, six times $24.99, four times $39.99 and three times $54.99. Those groups total $554.79 before costs. Your own sale prices may differ, so calculate each group with its actual full-term price. Do not multiply the entire customer count by one average price unless that average has been calculated from the real mix and documented clearly.
Carry the groups into your renewal calendar
The shortest terms will reach renewal before the annual group, so a single follow-up date for all 21 customers would be misleading. Record each confirmed expiry and the customer's preferred contact arrangement after activation. For another scenario, run the calculator separately for each term group and combine the credit totals before choosing packs. This keeps the arithmetic practical while avoiding a false assumption that all customers share a start, price or renewal date.
